This Mom Invented A Creative Hack To Keep Kids Quiet (It Includes Glow-In-The-Dark PJs)

Parents are the ones who know best what is best for their dear children! They’re the ones we can absolutely, honestly, trust no matter what – because at the end of the day, they have good intentions! So, even when they might tell us white lies, it’s okay – it’s all the process of keeping us healthy and safe! Don’t you agree?

I mean, yes, maybe that ice-cream while I already had one in my hand might have seemed like a good idea when I was 10 – but thanks to mom, and her telling me that the store was out of ice-cream, I paid full attention to my one ice-cream and avoided a sore throat! I might have thrown a little tantrum, but alas – it’s all up to good intentions! Thanks parents!

But, hey, are you up for the real, fun, white lie? This mom from Massachusetts found a way to calm her little ones out when it’s bedtime! More specifically, Jessica D’Entremont, used her little one’s glow-in-the-dark PJs to calm them down and take a rest! (See picture below):

What Jessica D’Entremont did is she told her two girls that in order for their glow-in-the-dark PJs to be charged, they should “lie really still under the light”! And it worked! Quite perfectly, honestly!

In a Facebook post shared by Love What Matters, the mom claimed:

“Looking for a way to keep your kids still?

Buy them glow in the dark pjs. Tell them they have to lie really still under the light to “charge” them.

I’m not even sorry. 😂

To expand on the trickery I’ve started putting the pjs back into their drawer when they get dressed in the morning……unexposed to light all day they dim and do not glow in the dark when they tried to test me last night until they laid down again. Reinforcing the need to lie quietly under the light before bed.”

Can you see how adorably these two little girls ‘charge’ their PJs? It’s truly brilliant! And, yeah, it might even teach them a nice lesson we all need to learn – that one has to work hard and give effort to achieve something! Hannelore, 3, and Emma, 4, are surely a lovely bunch! And they’ll thank their mom when they grow up and understand the importance of taking a rest! Don’t you agree? Oh, and now they’re even famous – the original post has gathered more that 100,000 shares worldwide, as UNILAD reports.

D’Entremont was interviewed by PopSugar, this way giving the public a thorough explanation of why she did what she did. Claiming that her kids were ‘jumping and running around’, chasing one another with ‘dragons they made out of Legos’. She explained:

Both of my girls have sensory processing disorders and we had a very busy day. Our walk home threw them all off due to the crowds, noise, and the shopping.

They were about to start freaking out, so I whipped out the pyjamas once we got home and told them if they lie super still and charge them they would glow in the dark.

Although a simple white lie, it seems to have helped the two little ones. The mother proceeded to say that they do this process every day before bedtime “as a part of their sensory diet”. She said that in order to get some stillness they also use “essential oils to help support sleep and calm”.

Quite interesting! But I give her 10/10 for the creativity! Kudos!
