Groomsmen Help Wheel-Chaired Groom Have His First Dance With The Bride

As the saying goes, a friend in need is a friend indeed. Hugo Rohlin’s big night turned out to be even more special thanks to his groomsmen. A touching video shared by Marcelo Henrique da Silva shows the newlyweds, Hugo and Cynthia, having their first dance – a dance that left everyone in tears.

Hugo Rohling married makeup artist and social media influencer, Cynthia Zanuni, in a ceremony that included their friends and family.

Unfortunately, Hugo has been in a wheelchair for five years after being left paralyzed from a motorcycle accident. However, he didn’t let that fact get the best of him, as the couple presented their guests with the ultimate surprise – a special dance they’d prepared for their special night.

The couple worked with a choreographer for their first dance before the wedding, and when it came to showing it to their guests, Cynthia sat on Hugo’s lap, holding him close, as they swayed back and forth to a Sam Smith song. The bride then stands up, and this is where the real dance begins.

The groom’s father and brother approached Hugo, standing shoulder-to-shoulder when one of them kneels and ties something to their legs. Yup, get your tissues ready. The two men in suits are going to ‘act’ as the groom’s legs, helping him out on the first dance as husband and wife.

As the couple danced, everything else seemed to fade away.

The dance ends with a kiss as Cynthia steps away and Hugo takes his seat on his chair.

Once again, we’re told that family is everything and they will always provide us with strength when we need to do something. The video brought us to tears, just like it did to the guests.

Congrats to the happy couple! May you live a healthy and happy life ahead.
