The wedding day is one of the best days of your life, you want everything to be perfect, all those guests, the dress, the venue, the music, the cake, the photographer, okay now I stressed myself, and I am not even getting married anytime soon. What I’m trying to say is making that day memorable can give you anxiety, worrying about every little detail. But the bottom line is you’re getting married to the love of your life (hopefully, laugh with us).
For those that have had their wedding day already and their dress gown was heavy and a lot of layers underneath know the struggle of needing to go to the bathroom. You definitely need people around to help you if your dress does not cooperate with you and if you’re a person like me peeing in front of people is not happening.
I’m pretty sure there are a lot of hacks out there to help you out with this “minor” problem but trust me this one includes a $1.29 IKEA bag!
A bride under the Facebook name “Djsweeby” has posted on her Facebook a solution for all of you brides who are wondering what will you do if it happens to you, I mean all the dancing, drinking that will be at the reception you’re bound to have to use the bathroom.
And can you believe this solution won’t cost you more than $1.29!
Yes, it’s really that simple. All you need is this cheap IKEA bag and you can successfully go to the bathroom without the help of your bridesmaids or anyone around.
Here’s what you should be doing: Initially you just cut a hole in the bottom of the bag, and then shimmy it up over your dress. The bag will act as your own little dress carrier, holding up all the layers you might have on your dress, so you can free up the rest of yourself to go to the bathroom on your own on your wedding day, and there will be no risk any of your wedding dress getting wet.
Djsweeby has used this hack on her wedding day and was ever gracious to post it and help a lot of anxious brides out there.
“I was really worried about going to the bathroom and not being able to … handle myself. Someone helping or watching me going to the bathroom on my wedding day? Not being able to have free hands to use the toilet paper? Or even worse if my period decides to show? NO WAY!”
It’s a pretty smart hack!
Will be trying this for your wedding day? And if you are married, did you need help from anybody to go pee or you found another solution? Let us know!
