It may seem a good idea when you’re blinded by love, but getting your significant other’s name tattooed on your body really isn’t the greatest idea. Tattoos are permanent – relationships, unfortunately, are sometimes not.
Johnny Depp might not have had his wife’s name tattooed, but he did the next best thing – or worst, depending on how you look at it. The Pirates Of The Caribbean actor had the word SLIM tattooed on his knuckles, which was his nickname for his ex-wife Amber Heard.
After their breakup – as allegations of his physically abusive behavior towards her were circling – he made a few changes to the tattoo. Namely, he turned the L into a C, and the I into a U, making the tattoo read SCUM. Now, he’s made another modification to the tattoo, by inking a red A over the U, so it now says SCAM.
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard met in 2009 on the set of The Rum Diary, when Johnny was still in a relationship with Vanessa Paradis. After his and Paradis’ relationship ended in 2012, he began seeing Amber and they were engaged by 2014.
The two married in 2015 and filed for divorce only a year later, in 2016. A week after filing for divorce, Heard aslo filed for a domestic violence restraining order against Depp. The two finalized their divorce last year, settling it for $7 million on August 16.
Tommy Henriksen, an artist touring with Depp’s band, the Hollywood Vampires, posted the picture showing the latest adjustment to the tattoo on Instagram. The Hollywood Vampires, which consist of shock rocker Alice Cooper and Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry, alongside Depp, are currently on a European tour.

Earlier this month rumors were making the rounds of possible health problems regarding his teenage son, Jack, who he shares with ex-wife Vanessa Paradis. After news of his son’s health issues broke, he was seen getting off a tour bus in Munich, Germany after he performed at the Tollwood Festival with his band. According to Daily Mail, it was even rumored that the 55-year-old actor would be canceling his tour.
However, those speculations turned out to be unfounded, since according to a source who told People, Jack was “fine and doesn’t have a health issue.”
