The Duchess of Cambridge was going through an emotional period after giving birth to Prince Louis, so it’s no surprise to hear the reports claim the Duchess was left in tears during the fitting for Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress for Harry and Meghan’s wedding.
The associate editor of The Telegraph, Camilla Tominey reported of the two sources that have told the newspaper about Kate’s tearful moment following little Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress fitting. The source told The Telegraph:
Kate had only just given birth to Prince Louis and was feeling quite emotional.
This comes in the midst of rumors of tension between Meghan and Kate, following the announcement that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be relocating to Frogmore Cottage, leaving their London home.
Since then, there have been many reports claiming Meghan and Kate are not on the best terms. A source even told The Mail:
Kate and Meghan are very different people. They don’t really get on.
Other sources told the Daily Mail’s Rebecca English that Meghan Markle has been ‘an acquired taste,’ something that maybe doesn’t sit well with the Duchess of Cambridge. Another source claims it takes time to get used to the royal lifestyle and constraints, and Meghan is still adjusting to the new life.
She’s woman who has lived life into her 30s in her way, she’s been a relatively successful actress, has her own humanitarian interests and her own circle of friends. She is very self-sufficient. Understanding the Palace way, the deference, the politics and the fact that there’s a pecking order, is taking a while for Meghan to get her head around. She is quite opinionated and Harry has got very dictatorial of late, which hasn’t made things easy at times.
While yet another rumor says Princess Eugenie was really upset after Harry and Meghan did not attend the evening reception of her wedding last month at Royal Lodge, after the ceremony at St. George’s Chapel.
It had been reported that Harry and Meghan would miss the second day of wedding festivities due to their flight to Australia. The couple also faced backlash after announcing their baby news at Eugenie’s wedding.
Now back to the sis-in-laws, it’s been said that while there might be some tension between the duo, Kate is very calm and ‘nothing has become bad enough to make Harry and Meghan want to move out.’
It’s just that there’s not enough room at Kensington Palace, and they’ve had Windsor as an option even before their wedding, sources say.
There are no bad feelings between Kate and Meghan, or William and Harry. Both princes have grown up and gone are the days when they did everything together, and were ‘living in each other’s pockets.’
The truth is that they have both just grown up. They are rare in that they live together and work together, but there has been a stepping back. They are still incredibly close, closer than most siblings, but now Harry has married and is about to become a father, so it’s a good time for him to be planning his own future. There is no acrimony.
Good to know there are no bad feelings between the royals.
