The first track from The Greatest Showman – Reimagined has just been released, and we can never listen to it enough!
The song is Kelly Clarkson’s rendition of “Never Enough” from the musical The Greatest Showman, which was released last year, and it’s a truly amazing one, as one would expect from the singer.
Last month, Atlantic Records announced they would be releasing a new album with songs from the musical, which would feature artists like Pink, Panic! At the Disco, Sara Bareilles, and of course, Kelly Clarkson who would be covering “Never Enough.”
The ballad was written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul and is sung by Rebecca Ferguson’s character in the movie, the operatic singer Jenny Lind, who is famously known as the “Swedish Nightingale.”
“I am so honored to be a part of The Greatest Showman – Reimagined,” Clarkson said, speaking to E! News. “‘Never Enough’ is a beautiful song and I hope y’all dig my version.”
Listen to the song here, and tell us if you too can never listen to it enough.
The original Greatest Showman soundtrack version of “Never Enough” was performed by Loren Allred who competed on The Voice in 2012, where Clarkson is a judge. The original movie soundtrack has gone double platinum, and This Is Me, performed by Pasek and Paul won the Best Original Song award at the 2018 Golden Globes.
Among other artists to be featured in the upcoming album are: Panic! at the Disco who will be covering The Greatest Show, Pink and her daughter, Willow Hart who sing A Million Dreams, James Arthur and Anne-Marie who’ll be taking on Rewrite The Stars, Keala Settle, Kesha and Missy Elliott with a remix of This Is Me, as well as Sara Bareilles with Tightrope.
Safe to say, this album will most likely be on repeat for a lot of people following its release.
