The 2019 Golden Globe ceremony was held at its usual venue, the Beverly Hills Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif, this Sunday. Among the award winners was also Lady Gaga with her Best Original Song for Shallow song.
However, we do witness the fact that not only well-wishers comment on this huge event afterward. Haters do it as well. An example would be Kendall Jenner, the famous model, and television personality was trolled for her acne on last year’s Golden Globes by internet haters who just love giving off their unsolicited opinions.
On December 6, the 23-year-old took to Twitter to share a very emotional story about getting trolled for her acne on last year’s Golden Globes.
On a video shared by Proactiv – the famous brand of skin products that announced Kendall Jenner as their ambassador, displays Kendall giving an emotional speech, saying:
I remember last year I was at an awards show and I was very excited about it. I remember getting ready that day, getting my makeup on. I got on the carpet, I felt really good about myself. I loved my dress and my hair, and my makeup was so beautiful.
She then continued to explain the exact moment when this magical evening was ruined.
Then I remember going online and seeing all of the horrible things people were saying about me, and my skin. I felt so good that I completely forgot that I had bad skin.
But then, something shifted and Kendall actually realized that there are many people out there who feel deeply about the struggle she was going through. Kendall explained:
Then I remember getting a couple of tweets, that became a lot of tweets, of how proud people were of me. I was like, ‘Oh wait, this is actually kinda cool.’ And it completely flipped my energy on it. But at the same time, I do want it gone. For me, I can honestly say, that the magic was Proactiv.
People who struggle with acne know no better day than the one where they see that their acne has begun to clear up. And as everyone would be, Kendall is thankful for Proactiv. She said:
I am so thankful to Proactiv, not only for clearing my skin but also for understanding the impact I want to make and for sharing my story in such a thoughtful and meaningful way.
On December 5, Kris Jenner opened up about Kendall’s upcoming project speaking that she is proud for Kendall Jenner being so brave and vulnerable.
