As you know, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper sent the internet into a frenzy with their “Shallow” performance at the Oscars this year. The performance was so good, people started actually saying they are in love, and well, Mother Monster has had enough of these rumors of a potential romance with her “A Star Is Born” co-star.
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the “Bad Romance” star joked about the rumors which exploded right after the awards show, following the performance. Gaga revealed that their steamy performance was nothing more than a pre-planned act.
If you haven’t watched the Oscars, Gaga and Cooper’s performance featured the co-stars sitting on a piano stool and affectionately embracing as they sang the hit song. And as if that wasn’t enough, Cooper’s girlfriend, Russian model Irina Shayk was sitting in the audience watching them perform.
Describing social media as “the toilet of the internet” Gaga explained that their performance at the Oscars, and everything else about it, including the camera angles, were actually planned and choreographed by Cooper who was also the director of “A Star Is Born.” According to Gaga, Cooper wanted an “authentic love story on-screen.”
As for people claiming they were in love, Gaga said:
Yes, people saw love and guess what? That’s what we wanted you to see.
The singer/actress and now Oscar-winner went on:
(Shallow) is a love song, “A Star Is Born” is a love story. It was so important to both of us that we were connected the entire time … When you’re singing love songs, that’s what you want people to feel.

Additionally, Gaga reminded that she’s done the same with singer Tony Bennett while they were on tour and that she’s had her “arms wrapped around” him for three years.
I’m an artist and I guess (Cooper and I) did a good job … fooled ya!
This interview comes after rumors that Gaga fell for her co-star during pre-production, or another version which claimed they were both doing it for attention.
