Lady Gaga And Bradley Cooper Reunite For A Surprise Performance Of “Shallow”

A Star Is Born, starring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, was arguably one of the best movies to come out of 2018. The on-screen romance and off-screen friendship between the two stars stole all our hearts and left us wanting for more. Fortunately, A Star Is Born, seems to be the gift that keeps on giving – or more precisely, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper are the gifts that keep on giving.

During Gaga’s Enigma concert in Las Vegas this Saturday night (26 January) we had a reunion between the two actors as Cooper, 44, took to the stage to perform their hit song from the movie, Shallow, alongside the 32-year-old singer.

The two gave their fans quite the shock after the Hangover star appeared on-stage for what was the show’s final performance.

Mimicking their performance in the movie, Gaga was at one point seen resting her elbows on Cooper’s knees as he crooned along to the country song.

The two kept their gazes locked as they performed on stage, with the Silver Linings Playbook actor donning a casual ensemble of a denim jacket paired with chino trousers and sneakers.

Gaga, on the other hand, was in full concert ensemble with an oversized t-shirt, thigh high boots, and a bright blue wig as she sat in front of the piano.

They also displayed their close friendship as they shared a hug during the performance.

Lady Gaga’s concert was part of her Enigma tour, which began in December 2018 and is expected to continue in various shows until the beginning of November 2019.

However, despite her impressive vocal talent, Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, also stole the spotlight with her performance in A Star Is Born, managing to snatch a number of awards, including an Oscar nomination for Best Actress. The Oscars will air live from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on February 24, which is when we’ll find out whether she’s going to take home the award.

A Star Is Born has also been nominated for Best Picture, Cinematography, Sound Mixing, and Best Original Song for Shallow.

Even though their fate when it comes to the Academy Awards remains undecided, the movie has amassed quite the collection of awards since its release, including two Critics’ Choice awards for Best Actress and Best Song, as well as a Golden Globe for Best Original Song.

Gaga also received the Best Actress award at the National Board of Review Awards earlier in January, during which she delivered a speech thanking her character in the movie, Ally, for “healing her past experience”, as well as her co-star Bradley Cooper “for entrusting me to be the first leading actress in your directorial debut,” saying that she would “not be standing up here if it weren’t for [him]”.
