One of our favorite epic movies that still manages to make us re-watch it, again and again, is Titanic. The movie about the tragic love story of Rose and Jack aboard the luxurious, ill-fated R.M.S. Titanic was directed by James Cameron and released in 1997. Even though it was a long time ago, we still see our favorites Leo and Kate in other movies.

However, there was this cute little girl among the cast members of Titanic, Alexandrea Owens-Sarno , who played the adorable Cora.
Even though the film focused on the romantic story between Rose and Jack it is still very sensitive and sad when it comes to its portrayal of this devastating accident.
You probably remember the night that Jack and Rose spent drinking and dancing, and of course, the steamy car scene.
Before that hot and romantic scene in the car, we saw that Jack had made friends with a cute little girl called Cora. She didn’t only get the chance to dance with Jack, but she was also called his ‘best girl.’ What a lucky little girl.
Alexandrea Owens-Sarno was only 8-years-old when she had the role of Jack’s ‘best girl.’ Since then, it has been 20 years and she has recently talked about what she is up to these days.

“I’ve had a couple people recognize me in the past few years. I went to a bar with some friends, recently, for example; our server came by, took our drink orders, and when she came back with them, she said, ‘I have a really weird question for you,’ said Alexandrea.
“Yes, she asked me if I was in Titanic, and she full-on said to me, ‘I was going to walk up to you and just say, ‘You’re still my best girl, Cora,’ but I didn’t want to be wrong and then feel like an idiot. But I really wish she had because that would have made my entire life.”
She was quick to admit that she stumbled into acting completely by chance when her mum took her and her little sister to the auditions.
She recalled in an interview for Cosmopolitan:
“They all went in, and then I went in, and she just had me ad lib a couple lines, dance on her feet with her, and that was it… A couple of weeks later, my mum had a message on the machine saying I had gotten the part. I remember crying, screaming, running around the house, like a little maniac.”
She also admitted that Leonardo would keep her entertained in between filming, by drawing in his sketchbook and even bringing her peanut butter and jam sandwiches. Is anyone jealous?
“I was thinking, ‘This is my new best friend Leo, and he’s so cool. In between scenes, we would hang out, and Kate would come up and talk to us too — she was obsessed with my sister’s hair, so she was always playing with it.”
She told BuzzFeed: “My mom has an amazing picture of me, Leo, Kate, and my little sister Rachel hanging out when they were resetting for the dancing scene. It’s one of my favorites and is a reminder of just how lucky I am to have worked with two of the best actors out there. Leonardo DiCaprio was an absolute doll. He was so fun and charming. He loved to put a smile on everyone’s face. [I’d often] be on his lap with a PB&J in between takes.”
Alexandrea had a break from acting while in school and while attending University. She wasn’t cast in any other movies until last year.
The actress earned herself a writing degree from California State University, Long Beach.
She disclosed for Buzzfeed: “I’ve been writing sketch comedy that I’ll start producing very soon, and I’m also in the process of writing a novel.”
Alexandrea played Blanca in A Closer Walk with Thee and recently she has starred in the American Horror film The Sluagh.
