Serious Game Of Thrones spoilers below so you have been warned!
So, everyone who has watched the second episode of the final season of Game Of Thrones probably had their minds blown as they do in every episode, some more than others. However, despite the many interesting things that went down I think we can all agree that one of the scenes that surprised us most was that ~sexy~ Arya Stark scene. Yes, “sexy” and “Arya Stark” and “scene” all in one sentence!
The younger, tomboy-ish Stark sister is all grown up and the girl is getting what she wants! Well okay fine, the situation in which it happened is kinda sad (the classic wanting to know what sex is like before she dies), but Arya still took charge and had sex with Gendry! This no doubt delighted GOT fans, who have been rooting for the pair to reunite and get together for years.
But the intimate scene was a complete 180 from the usual scenes that actress Maisie Williams is used to shooting for the show, and she has now opened up about what that was like, and apparently, she initially though it was a prank!
“At first, I thought it was a prank,” she told Entertainment Weekly, adding that her next thought was: “I need to go to the gym.” But in a show which is known for showing quite a bit of nudity through the years, the thing was no big deal and, naturally, everyone was very professional and respectful.
“In the beginning, everyone was really respectful,” Maisie, 20, told the publishing. “No one wants to make you feel uncomfortable, which kind of makes you feel more uncomfortable because no one wants to look at anything that they shouldn’t look at, which in turn makes you feel like you look awful because everyone is kind of [averting their eyes]. You want people to act more normal.”
She then continued: “By the end, we’re rushing to finish the scene and David is going, ‘Okay, you’re going to come in and do this and do that and, great, take your top off’—and then walked off. And I’m like…‘Okay. Let’s do it.’”

She also revealed that she had control over how much skin she wanted to show, but she kept it pretty private. ” I don’t think it’s important for Arya to flash,” she explained. “This beat isn’t really about that. And everybody else has already done it on the show, so…”
As for her co-star, Joe Dempsie who portrays Gendry, he said he found filming that scene “slightly strange” because he’s known Maisie since she was 11 or 12 but added that “at the same time, I don’t want to be patronizing toward Maisie—she’s a 20-year-old woman. So we just had a lot of fun with it.”
Okay, now that that’s over, it’s time to excitedly wait for and dread the third episode, which is supposed to be the longest battle sequence in movie history and will probably kill off like 90% of the characters. No biggie…
