Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might go against tradition by choosing to have their second baby in the US.
The Duke and The Duchess of Sussex are now expecting their second child. After the birth of their firstborn, Archie, the royals are expected to have their second baby very soon.
A source close to the royals claims that The Duchess wants to have her second baby in LA, the place where she, herself, was born and raised.
The couple is reportedly keen to deliver their second child in LA. After giving birth so far from her friends and family, it was said to leave the American-born actress (seen in March in London) feeling ‘lonely and uncomfortable’.
Sources close to the family said to OK! Magazine that Meghan would prefer to give birth next to her family, and to have her second baby born in LA, the same place where she was born and raised. According to a royal insider, Meghan had felt “lonely” and “uncomfortable” during her first pregnancy.
Both, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want their children to live “as close of a normal life as possible”, to teach them values besides being royals.
As a result of that, they want their first months with their baby to be “in complete privacy” source claims. According to this royal insider, The Duchess of Sussex wants this time to be more private, to enjoy her family moments without the exposure that they get while being in the UK.
The insider added that Meghan wants to spend time away from the public in order to create a bond with her baby.
The source also said to OK! Magazine that ”Meghan wants to spend the first three months post-birth at home in LA with Doria and bond with the baby away from prying eyes. She would rather be together with her friends and family during that time. Meghan & Prince Harry are “willing to break tradition” in order to ensure both the happiness of the baby and that of The Duchess during this time.
This decision might ruffle some feathers in the long run. The Duke and The Duchess of Sussex have already had their share of not following royal protocol.
Some bookmakers have even slashed the odds that the royals would expect their baby in February at the latest.
At the moment, they seem to be enjoying holidays in the UK, where Meghan’s mother, Doria might be visiting.
