We have entered the month of November, which means we’re quickly and steadily approaching the cold, dark, winter months. For perpetually cold people such as myself, that’s something I’ve been dreading since we entered September.
It just seems that no matter how warm a room might be, just because it’s cold outside, I can never seem to get warm myself. And of course, living in an old, tiny apartment that never seems to get warm enough isn’t really helping much. Which is why I’m always on the lookout for the comfiest, warmest items of clothing I can find.
I present to you, microwaveable slippers to keep your feet toasty warm while you’re lounging around your cold apartment.
Yup, you can just pop these directly in a microwave for 90 seconds, take them out and put them on and you’re good to go. They retail for $24.45, are made from a soft material, filled with grain and even scented with lavender.
Warm and they smell good. Give me ten! Movie nights just became 100 times better.
According to the company, they can even help with relieving “stress, hypertension, aches, pains, arthritis, chills, sinus pressure, migraines, bursitis, insomnia, cramps, colic, flu, and tendonitis.”
And it gets even better.
If you’re thinking you’ll have to hide these away somewhere during the summer, think again. Apparently, they can also work as a cold pack if you just place them in the freezer. But put them in a plastic bag before doing that.
They also come in five different colors: brown, cream, grey, snowy, and tawny.
And if the reviews are to be believed, they work pretty well. One person wrote: “My wife says this is the best present ever. Great for curling up on the couch in the winter and keeping her feet warm,” whereas another added, ” These are awesome slippers for someone like me with perpetually cold feet. They smell great, too – fresh lavender fragrance.”
But one commenter revealed that you have to be careful and not keep them in the microwave for too long since they could burn.
“Unfortunately, the slippers burned after 1 minute 50 seconds in the microwave,” they wrote. “However, customer service was excellent and I am getting a replacement pair, and will lower the microwave time.”
Do you know someone who could use a pair of these?
