At least once in our life, we experienced that loooong moment of getting stuck in a traffic jam, and you started worrying about being late for work, wishing there were flying cars invented or wondering ‘where am I going to π’? But, in case you are stuck in traffic right now and are reading this, for God’s sake put that phone down! It’s mostly people looking at their phones while driving that cause traffic jams, or much worse.
And, if you’re not behind the wheel, you are about to read a story about a mother waiting in a traffic jam. Not often we get the chance to see a middle-aged woman in the middle of the street jamming to the ‘Backstreet Boys’, do we?
Wendy Chupp Gossett is a mother who has taken the attention of many netizens with a funny clip she shared on her Facebook page. She and her children had been stuck in traffic on Interstate 25 during a snowstorm in Colorado, for four hours.
She captioned the video:
This is what happens when you’re stuck for four hours on I 25.
But what did she really do? Well, instead of mourning the traffic jam and get frustrated, she took this opportunity to have a little fun with her children.
So, Wendy decided to volume up the Backstreet Boys’ tunes and hop out of the car to throw a move or two. And she killed it!
Speaking to Fox 8, Wendy explained how her son was stressed and hungry, so she tried to cheer him up.
She got the moves! You go, mom!
While Wendy was enjoying the tune outside the car, dancing between other cars in the street, her son was not really enjoying the whole situation. You can see a slight smirk on his face, while he is trying to hold back a laugh even as he turns beet red.
Even ‘The Gazette’ shared the video, captioning:
Going from Denver to Pueblo today, Wendy Gossett and her family made it to Monument – in five hours. To cheer up her kids, she started dancing on the highway to the @backstreetboys which her son clearly enjoyed.

Next was Nick Carter who praised Wendy’s “nice jam” after telling her to get back in the car. Uhm, make up your mind, Nick!

To sum up it all, traffic jams are unavoidable, but you can still turn the situation into a cheerful moment, just like Wendy did. Well done, mom!
Since you’re here, see another video of a mother singing and dancing in public, while her son’s everlasting embarrassment takes place:
