Almost every one of us has experienced flying on a plane near a baby or a small child who keeps crying and despite the volume on your headphones being turned up, we still can hear the noise. Not pleasant at all one would say. Well, it happens, they are children and it’s pretty much understandable and expected from them. However, thanks to strangers sometimes even the longest flights can turn short and beautiful, figuratively speaking.
A mom’s story of how a stranger helped her and her two young children on a flight warmed hearts across the country and beyond, although it happened quite a long time ago.
Jessica was traveling with her 4-month-old son, Alexander and 3-year-old daughter, Caroline, from Missouri to North Carolina when they started crying. Back then, Jessica thought: “I honestly thought we’d get kicked off the plane.”
But thanks to a man named Todd, they didn’t.
This man offered to hold her 4-month-old baby, as Jessica got 3-year-old settled on her tablet. Then he also chatted with Caroline and kept her distracted while Caroline’s mother fed the baby.
“I’m not sure if he caught the kiss she landed on his shoulder while they were looking out the window.”
Apparently, the duo became friends by the time they landed off the plane.
And since Todd and Jessica accidentally had the same connecting flight, the new friends continued walking together hand in hand to the next gate.
Todd was inspired to help Jessica from her wife’s experience in the past. He said that his wife had also been alone with two kids on a flight some times ago, and a stranger had helped her in the same way, he helped Jessica.
Keep putting out good. It will come back to you tenfold, in unexpected ways. Let’s pay it forward now folks!
