Losing weight and getting fit might be one of the most popular New Year’s resolutions, but not many of us stick to this resolution. I usually give up after a week. But Chinese photographer Jesse Ding and his family didn’t wait for the beginning of 2018 to start accomplishing their health goals. The Ding family documented their weight loss journey that they started at the 10th of March when Jesse’s mom decided to move in with her son and his pregnant wife to help them with the pregnancy and the baby.
Jesse’s father also stayed with them and they all decided that it’s time for a change and healthier lifestyle. As his dad was battling an alcohol problem the 32-year-old photographer thought a weight loss program would give him a new passion for life. He convinced the family to start speed walking, which turned into jogging and soon after they joined the gym. The family kept track of the results by measuring their bodies every 10 days. They had each other for support and accountability.
Jesse used his photography skills to photograph the progress and the changes and here are the results, as seen on Bored Panda.
