The Royal family is all over the news and our feeds. We see the royal events they attend, the way they carry their royal duties, the ceremonies they organize and so on. We’re pretty invested when it comes to events concerning the royal family.
They have had e few additions into the family during this year we’re about to leave behind. In April, Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, gave birth to her and Prince William’s third child, little Prince Louis. And just a month after that, on the 19th of May, Meghan Markle, now the Duchess of Sussex, entered the royal family officially, by getting married to Prince Harry, in an outstanding wedding ceremony guesting hundreds of people and being watched by millions.
Lately, however, Kensington Palace announced that a new addition is to be expected in the Spring of 2019, more specifically, the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex are to expect their firstborn. While the world was thrilled at the news, we’re equally thrilled anytime the royal family releases happy news, and especially family photographs.
Well, in honor of the 70th birthday of Prince Charles, Clarence House has released two new family portraits. We can see how in each of them, the Prince of Wales is sitting in the garden of Clarence House alongside his nearest and dearest, his close family. He sits next to the Duchess of Cornwall while having Prince George in his lap, and Princess Charlotte sits right next to the Duchess of Cornwall. In the picture, we can see The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and the little Prince Lous in the arms of his mother.
In the first picture we see as Prince George is laughing on Prince Charles’ knee, and the Duchess of Cornwall is pointing something out to Princess Charlotte. While Meghan is leaning forward and laughing. It all looks so cheerful and lovely.

The beautiful portraits were taken by Chris Jackson, and he also took the 4th birthday portrait of Prince George. They are all dressed in blue and white and smiling.

A while ago, a documentary named Prince, Son and Heir: Charles at 70, aired on BBC. And in the documentary we can hear Prince Harry talk about how he asked his father to walk Meghan down the aisle, saying:
I asked him to and I think he knew it was coming and he immediately said, ‘Yes, of course, I’ll do whatever Meghan needs, and I’m here to support you.
Lovely portraits, aren’t they? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below. We’ll be reading.
We wish Prince Charles a very happy birthday!
