Everyone who grew up with a sister knows what a special bond it is. No one will take better care of you than your sister. They understand you and are there for you through thick and thin. Even when it comes to family drama, who is a better person to vent to than your sister who needs no background information because she already knows everything?
It seems that, even among royals, having a good relationship with siblings is crucial. The set of sisters, Eugenie and Beatrice have been through everything hand in hand ever since they were little girls. Maybe their cousins, Prince William, and Prince Harry did receive more attention while growing up, the sisters actually enjoyed a little more privacy.
Just recently, Princess Eugenie took to Instagram to share a very cute picture from their childhood.
As you’d expect, their parents, Prince Andrew, and Sarah Ferguson took really good care of their baby girls, fashioning them in matching ensembles that give off ’90s vibes.
Being a mom of two isn’t at all easy, but it seems that Fergie had truly mastered the double pick-up. She is seen boarding the Royal barge and joining the family’s yacht, Britannia while carrying both her daughters in each side.
Even at a very young age, they were part of Royal weddings. They were bridesmaids back in 1993 in the wedding of former royal nanny Alison Wardley to royal bodyguard Ben Dady.
Prince Andrew and Fergie decided to put an end to their marriage back in 1996. But for the sake of their daughters, they remained friends and co-raised Beatrice and Eugenie.
As I said earlier, no one is there for you as a sister is. Oftentimes, they’re the glue holding you together. And these sisters are no exception. Describing their bond as ‘each other’s rocks’ in an interview with British Vogue’s September issue, Eugenie explained how they rely on each other for everything. She said:
There was a horrible article that had been written about Beatrice and she got really upset. We were just about to step out [at a Buckingham Palace garden party] and she had a bit of a wobble and cried. I was looking after her. And then about an hour later, I had a wobble and started crying and Bea was there for me.
Today, when Princess Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank, Beatrice was her maid of honor. A while ago Beatrice had commented on her sister, saying:
Euge is amazing. She’s a very modern bride.
Sisters before anyone else, right?
