This Artist’s Relatable Couple Comics Will Make Your Day

Comics have been one of the many ways that express so many actions taking place in our lives nowadays. They, in a way, represent the sad truth of so many activities, but, it’s worth mentioning they do so in such a cute way. Unofficially speaking, creating comics is something creative minds start doing simply as a hobby, however, they end up with these illustrations of comics becoming such an important part of the artist’s life, and, of the audience who loves seeing those (Hi.)

What we mostly see when scrolling down on our social media, are cute, heartwarming couple comics. Whether they show the sad truth we’re all scared to admit or the small little moments that could make your day, comics have found their way into our lives.

The comics that you are about to see are from the Seoul-based artist Gyung and they are the representation of love and the fun people in relationships have.

Gyung real name is Kyu-Young Lee and the artist has started illustrating comics a year ago admitting that these comics are based on real-life situations. The skillful artist told Bored Panda that “It’s all about us,” continuing:

It’s our precious story, we met three years ago and just got married this month. Nowadays she thinks that she should try to provide as much material as she can!

The person who inspired Gyung to do all this amazing work is his girlfriend, so, they are basically a record of their time together.

I get inspiration for my comics from my life. My girlfriend is a huge part of my life. Sometimes people can’t say what they want to say. That is why I like to express my words in pictures.

Related to his work, Gyung admitted for Bored Panda that he works for a “design company” but he “can’t draw the pictures” he wants.

Companies require you to draw pictures for consumers. However, the pictures I post on Instagram are the ones I actually want to draw.
