Revenge Is A Sandwich Served Cold: Jade Hameister Burns Internet Trolls

Jade Hameister is the ultimate wife material. She’s only 16, but she’s already managed to trudge all the way to the North Pole, then back to the South Pole, and up to Greenland again. But she didn’t just pull off that superhuman feat (called the ‘Polar Hat Trick’) – she also burned her internet trolls to a crisp in a recent online exchange.

See, due to her general badassery, Jade is kind of famous. She even gave a TEDx talk a couple of years ago, recounting her Polar Hat Trick journey, but soon she faced the internet’s worst of the worst. Trolls came out in force as they made a bunch of sexist remarks aimed at Jade, with one of the most popular ones being “make me a sandwich.”

The sixteen-year-old Aussie managed to traverse the entire planet, and twice. What am I doing with my life?

But as Bored Panda reports, it turns out that Jade never forgets. She did exactly what the trolls wanted. But only after she skied – alone – across the entire icecap of Greenland. And only after she spent 373 miles pulling a 220-pound sled across the frozen wastes Antarctica. It was then and only then that Jade Hameister made the trolls a sandwich.

As soon as she arrived at the South Pole, she took a ceremonious photo and posted it on Instagram. But there was a twist. Jade held out a plate with a sandwich on it, and addressed the trolls:

“I made you a sandwich (ham & cheese). Now ski 37 days and 600km to the South Pole and you can eat it.”

This absolute savage called Jade Hameister then added:

“These past couple of years have been filled with crazy new experiences. Experiences that have transformed me and my soul. New pins on my map, new smells, new tastes, new friends, new cultures and a new mindset. I’ve pushed myself past what I once thought were my boundaries and challenged what other people once thought was possible for young women in particular.”

“Now ski 37 days and 600km to the South Pole and you can eat it.” That’s what she said!

Jade Hameister, you’ve made Australia, but the world too, very proud!

Congratulations and may you keep setting records!
