Samsung recently revealed their massive 219-inch television at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The product is called The Wall, probably because it will replace your existing wall after you purchase the product. With a technology called micro-LED, it creates a brighter image while using less energy than current TVs.
As if we weren’t already glued to our TVs, binge-watching every show on Netflix.
Watch the video below for a little preview of the new telly.
The tech company released a statement, writing:
These transformative TV displays are made up of individual modules of self-emissive Micro LEDs, featuring millions of inorganic red, green and blue microscopic LED chips that emit their own light to produce brilliant colors on screen.
Samsung also explained that the TV has modular panels you can position ‘in any size or shape,’ depending on your preferences.
These next-generation modular Micro LED displays harness self-emitting technology to create elegant, efficient and powerful screens that are liberated from the limitations of existing technologies.
The promotional video also shows you can hang your TV screen portrait. It’s like you have a massive moving art installation in your house.
Considering how much you will save from going to the cinemas, I’m pretty sure you can afford the telly, especially now that Game of Thrones is about to hit the screens in a few months. However, there is no price tag for now, which leads you to think The Wall is so expensive, no one can afford it. Hopefully not.
Samsung also designed a smaller, 75-inch option for those who think The Wall is too big for their taste. It’s called The Window, and it too was revealed in the same exposition in Las Vegas.
