Selena Gomez Opens Up For The First Time About Her Breakup With The Weeknd

Selena Gomez and The Weeknd’s split left fans wondering what the status of their relationship really is. The pair dated for around 10 months before deciding to go their separate ways last month. It would seem like the 25-year-old singer got back with her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, but apparently, her relationship with The Weekend ended because of their busy schedules.

Now, the It Ain’t Me singer opened up about the relationship with the Starboy singer saying that they are still very close friends who care about each other deeply.

She told Billboard Magazine: “Something that I’m really proud of is that there’s such a true friendship between me and The Weeknd. I truly have never experienced anything like that in my life. We ended it as best friends, and it was genuinely about encouraging and caring for each other, and that was pretty remarkable for me.”

Gomez told Billboard magazine – who have named her Woman of the Year for 2017 that she still cares about Justin Bieber –: “I’m 25. I’m not 18, or 19, or 20. I cherish people who have really impacted my life. So maybe before, it could have been forcing something that wasn’t right. But that doesn’t mean caring for someone ever goes away.”

However, the Starboy hit maker deleted all the photos with Selena Gomez from his Instagram account.

And apparently things are back on between The Weeknd and ex Bella Hadid one year after they separated and he got together with Selena Gomez.

On the other hand, Gomez kept all the pictures with The Weeknd on her Instagram account.

One of the pictures is her and Abel together at the Met Gala in May.
