Pregnant Reality TV Star Gave The Nicest Response To Her Body-Shamers

Celebrities live under the constant pressure of being perfect and looking awesome for their fans. Social media is a place for connecting with followers, but also a place for severe and harsh criticism and body shaming. Love & Hip Hop: New York cast member Cyn Santana recently found herself on the receiving end of some hateful comments about her nose on social media, and decided to address them in the nicest, classiest way possible.

The reality TV personality posted a photo on her Instagram of herself modeling a pair of false lashes on November 21, as part of a promotion for the brand ShopsNU.

The model has over 2.7 million Instagram followers and the picture was soon flooded with comments. Some were supportive, while others were full of hatred, with many fans criticizing her nose.

Comments included how Cyn’s nose grew or changed because of her pregnancy. The 25-year-old just gave birth to a little boy four days ago, but was still pregnant at the time the photo was taken.

Cyn decided to do something nice in response to the hateful comments: she put out a positive message for other mothers-to-be. The New York-born made it clear that they need to accept their bodies and all the changes that come with pregnancy:

“I read a comment that said ‘I can’t wait for you to drop your baby. Your nose is way too big’ and it made me really sad. Not because it hurt my feelings… (cause I don’t give a f*** what Y’all talkin’ bout) but because others have to deal with reading these type of low comments.”

She ended her post with encouraging words for other women who have faced body-shaming:

“Unfortunately, cruel people exist in this world. There’s nothing that we can do about them. So we need to protect ourselves and lift each other up… This goes out to ALL my women. Pregnant or not. Big nose or small nose. Embrace it. Embrace you. You are beautiful.”

I like books, flowers, makeup, and long walks. That pretty much sums me up.
