On May 6, Met Gala guests wore their interpretations of this year’s theme “Camp: Notes on Fashion” at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. We saw Katy Perry as a life-size chandelier, Kace Musgraves as Barbie, Zendaya as Cinderella and many more interesting ensembles worn by celebrities.
However, just in case you missed it, let us tell you that Cardi B was the one who stole the show with her extravagant and extra long red dress.
The rap singer needed five men to assist her with the giant, red, feather and jewel-adorned dress throughout the evening.

The protruding ruby nipples and the intricate design made her dress to be one of the most head-turning looks of this year’s Met Gala.

The eye-catching dress covered her from head-to-toe. According to Vt. the dress took more than 2.000 hours to create. It’s designer Browne spoke about the inspiration behind the dress saying:
I designed this dress for Cardi specifically because she has the ultimate beauty in a woman’s body, and that is what the dress is about for me: taking advantage of that beauty.

The Teen Vogue’s editor Brittney McNamara wrote about Cardi’s dress:
Beyond the color, the way her dress flows is reminiscent of a pooling of liquid, like, say, menstrual blood. Anyone who has ever woken up in a pool of their own period blood will recognize that tell-tale shape. And while we’re talking about shapes, the folds in the front of Cardi’s dress are straight up vaginal. The folds that stem from her hips and flow down to the floor look like labia, while the tucking of the dress inside those folds has shapes reminiscent of the clitoral hood, and then the vaginal opening.
Perfect interpretation! And it’s not that we don’t get it.
