One of the most famous families in America, yes, the Kardashians, are offering a hand to those wanting to start their career. They are now offering a part-time unpaid internship to college students, but people think applicants should be careful. Yes, I would emphasize that too. However, some even are pointing out that this deal might not even be legal.
According to the U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division, it is said:
The extent to which the internship provides training that would be similar to that which would be given in an educational environment, including the clinical and other hands-on training provided by educational institutions.
However, the Kardashians state that the intern will mostly be “grocery shopping and helping with [the] dog.”
Other internet users are stating that all of this is very standard for entertainment-related internships. One user commented:
That’s the reason the ad says applicants must be a student and get credit for the internship. No one ever follows up on this stuff.
The department of labor or whoever asks if the internship has educational value, they say yes – they earned college credit for it. Box checked everyone moves on. And the schools can’t/won’t push back because if they demand that there is actually an educational component and not unpaid work (which frankly is worse than that because the students often pay tuition on those credits) the businesses/studios just won’t accept anyone from their school.
In that case, the Kardashians would have people working for them, not for free, but paying university rates, and possibly going into debt to wrap presents and run other errands. See their ad below and all the responses the ad triggered.

People were shocked to learn about this kind of internship offered by the family.
The most shocking thing was that the wealthy family was offering an unpaid internship and the only benefits were experience and college credit.
Talking about experience, many people were questioning the value of grocery shopping and dog walking.
A lot of people that proceeded with it started sharing their experiences.
And this is what others had to say about this whole thing:
