Trump Tower is on fire. In the age of fake news, it’s kind of difficult to take sensational news stories seriously, right? But, there might actually be fire where there is smoke about this one (pun intended!).
According to Unilad and reports by other outlets, a fire has broken out on the very roof of the Trump Tower in New York. Basically, it’s the tower of the President of the United States – where he previously lived with his family.
According to photographs and eyewitnesses, pillars of smoke could be seen billowing from the top of the skyscraper, smack dab in Manhattan. The black clouds of smoke could be seen by everyone around New York city.
But that’s not all, turns out there’s further confirmation. According to New York Daily News, at around 7.20 AM this Monday morning (January 8, for the record), firefighters were called at the address of East 56th Street.

So far the reports seem to suggest that the firefighting teams have ‘knocked back’ the fire from spreading, and are trying to achieve complete control of the emergency. The goal is now to contain the fire and stop it from spreading to other areas of the Trump building.
The good news is that so far, there have been no reports of injuries or death. What caused the fire is, however, still unknown, and we encourage everyone to avoid making hasty speculations.
What’s important is to note that President Donald Trump was in Washington when the fire broke out, so he’s safe.
Twitter has been the first platform that people used to report on the accident:

The social media footage, consisting of photographs and video, showed firefighters climbing the roof of the skyscraper and attempting to put the blaze under control.
