The romances we see in movies are often drama-filled, tear-jerking, unforgettable love sorties of epic proportions. They frequently include a heart-wrenching scene, a grand gesture of some sort, which might or might not leave us gasping for breath among our tears. While these movie romances do make our hearts flutter, in reality, what makes a relationship truly great is rarely the grand gestures.
It’s the little, everyday things that one shares with their partner.
A journalist by the name of Hattie Gladwell recently took to Twitter to ask her followers to share one little thing that their partner does that makes them fall in love even more.
“Quote this tweet with one thing your partner does that’s not necessarily romantic but makes u love them a bit more,” she wrote. “Mine runs me a bath every night without asking and puts the kettle on in the morning!”

Of course, Twitter delivered, sharing sweet, little things partners do for each other, which add up to a world of love. See some of the things people shared, and be prepared, it’s sickeningly sweet:
Like this husband who knows the struggle of tangled hair.
My husband braids my hair before bed because it’s very long and curly and tangles in the night.

Or this one who’ll never leave his wife alone, not even at the dinner table.
He slows down how fast he eats so that we finish our meals together: I eat very slowly and get anxious about being the last one still eating at dinner ❤️🤗

Someone who’s always supportive.
I’m a new yoga teacher and he comes to all my classes. Since the beginning and even when nobody else showed up but him he let me practice my teaching skills with him ❤️🙏🏽

And another who brightens his partner’s every day.
Packs my lunch every night and draws a little cartoon for me everyday. The carton depicts a heart giving his love also a heart random things because when you are a heart what do you give the one you love pic.twitter.com/oBPjVBiASS

This is just adorable.
I leave to school at 6:40am, 3 times a week. He’ll wake up and walk me to my car and he cleans my windows as my car warms up. When I leave, he’ll throw me kisses as I drive away.

Here’s when you know it’s true love.
He makes me coffee every morning. When I said I was cutting out Starbucks to save $, he bought whipped cream & started topping my coffee with it every day so I didn’t miss my Sbux too much. He does it even though he thinks whipped cream on coffee is gross. #hesmyfavorite

This is very crucial.

Who are those people who think it’s weird?
We have been together 17 years and still hold hands. People seem to think it’s cute but weird. It just never occurred to us to stop.

Being there for the tough times is how you know it’ll last.
1)Stayed with me when I tried pushing him away from my life after my #Acidattack. 2) visited me to another city every weekend for one year when I was in hospital 3)cried in bathroom but stayed strong in front of me after my miscarriage

This is how you know they really care.
She always remembers to carry my pain medication for me.

And of course the most important.
He sends me quality memes
