Wheelchair-Bound Father Surprises His Daughter By Walking Her Down The Aisle

A cancer survivor who was left wheelchair-bound was determined for one thing: to walk his daughter down the aisle on her wedding day, but she wouldn’t know about it. Ralph Duquette had a long battle with leukemia, as it managed to let him in a coma for few days and blind him in one eye. However, Duquette succeeded in giving his daughter the best present one can get for the wedding day – walking her down the aisle.

Look at the sweet footage here:

This is the heart-warming moment when this doting father walks his daughter down the aisle. Although the elderly cancer-survivor looked a little bit unsteady and was even about to fall, he made it until the end with the support of his loving daughter. And as we can witness the video, Heather looks excited and moved by her father’s presence.

Prior to the wedding, Duquette has told his daughter that due to the tiring chemotherapy session he went through, he won’t be able to do it. While he was, in fact, going through painful rehabilitation just to learn how to walk once again, and all of this he kept a secret.

Besides completing his task, the doting father even danced together with his daughter at the ceremony.

Boyfriend Dan Casoria and Heather met each other online and went for their first date in 2013. They tied the knot to their long-term relationship and their wedding day was magical in all terms.
