Woman Does The Incredible To Return Special Gift To The Rightful Owners

When a couple was waiting to get on a plane, carrying a most special gift for their granddaughter, something unpleasant happened. Bill and Linda Modry were forced to throw the gift in the garbage can because of airport security. The newly adopted granddaughter would never see how special the gift was. But one other couple did the unexpected. Amarri Hernandez and her boyfriend were also waiting at St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport, and decided to take the gift and share the story on social media. The rest of the story will melt your heart.

Bill and Linda Modry were so looking forward to meeting their granddaughter and give her a special gift. Sadly, they had to throw it in the trash. Then, this amazing couple came in and saw what happened.

“I witnessed a man being told that he was not allowed to take his package on the plane,” Amarri writes on a Facebook post. “The guy looked at the officer and said ‘Could I leave it at the airport in the lost and found. It’s a snowglobe for my adopted grandchild.'”

However, the officer did not follow the man’s request.

“The officer replied ‘Put it in file 13’ and pointed at the garbage can,” Amarri writes on Facebook. “The man was hurt and threw it in the garbage.”

When Amarri saw the man walking away from the trash can with tears in his eyes, she was touched. Her boyfriend stepped up and went to take the gift out of the trash can. Then, they went home and opened the gift. It was a beautiful snowglobe containing photos of the couple and the little girl.

It was engraved with the message: “We love you Katie, Nana and Papa 1/25/16”.

Amarri was determined to do anything to make that gift go into the right hands. That’s why she posted a message on Facebook and tried to reunite the couple with the gift.

Her post quickly went viral and was shared over 40 000 times. Luckily, one person did reply. It was an employee of Things Remembered, the company that made the custom snow globe.

The employee then found the name of the person who ordered the snow globe and Amarri was able to contact Linda Modry.

“This was something very special,” Linda tells Fox13 News. “It was for my granddaughter Katie, because my son adopted her.”

Linda’s granddaughter was broken when she realized Linda couldn’t bring her that snowball in Ohio.

“She’s just amazing. I can’t believe that she did this,” she tells Fox13 News. “People are basically really good, and she’s just exceptional.”

Then, Amarri added that she was doing the right thing.

“My mom raised us to always be good to people,” she says. “I would want the same thing to happen to me.”
