He was born in Firminy, a small French village in the Rhône-Alps region of the Loire and has a pedigree as a chef, since he comes from a family of restaurateurs.

His story starts at the age of twelve, when he first started working. At thirteen, he became an apprentice in a local bakery and by fourteen, Cédric was already specializing in pâtisserie.

In the years between 2005 and 2011, he was honing his craft both in Paris and in Beijing. Upon his arrival from Beijing, he landed a position in the Research and Development department in Fauchon.

Fauchon is a French gourmet food and delicatessen company which was founded in 1886. It enjoys a sterling reputation in reference to contemporary French gourmet foods.

Finally, in 2011, Cédric joined Le Meurice Restaurant as sous chef pâtissier, all of his focus falling on the design of the pastries.

Cedric received a lot of honors both in local and national competitions in his early adolescent years.
And rightly so! If you check his Instagram page you will find some outlandishly attractive design on his pastries.

These Rubik’s Cube cakes are done to perfection.

You can tell that a lot of hard work is put into every single detail. I believe that just one little cube would take a lot of time to make and decorate.

The three most important features of his work that he wants to see covered with every single piece of dessert are: the reinvention of the classics, the modernity of the present and the vision of the future.

His mindfulness and hard work brought him the award for best Pastry Chef of the year by his peers in September 2015!
Check his Instagram page for further reference. Trust me, you’ll be wanting to have some cake in no more than 5 minutes.
