What Are The Best Primers For Oily Skin?

For a long time, I never used to wear a primer before my foundation and then I would wonder why my foundation isn’t really sitting all that well in my face. Or what the big deal about a certain foundation is because it never really looked as airbrushed, and smooth as it did on others.

And then, I was introduced to the magic of primers. For some reason, I always thought primers work as a sort of moisturizer, and their only function is to not let foundation be applied directly to your skin. A few makeup tutorials later, and a trip to the drugstore for my very first primer quickly changed my mind on that.

I decided to test it; I applied my foundation with a primer on one side of my face, and without one on the other, and the flawlessness of my primed side has forever sold me to them. Now, I never go without it.

Primers act on reducing fine lines, blurring pores, color-correcting, and, for those of us with an oily or combination type of skin, they work wonders in keeping your foundation from sliding right off your face barely a couple of hours after applying it. They provide another extra boost of control over the excess oil on your face and keep your skin looking matte and smooth for longer, providing you with the perfect canvas for your makeup.
