Split Ends Treatments: 3 Simple Remedies For Split Ends

Coconut oil

Coconut oil is mostly known as a natural nourisher and moisturizer of hair. You can take 2-4 teaspoons of coconut oil and apply it to your hair from the root to the tips, focusing more on the tips. Then cover your hair with a shower cap and leave it overnight. In the morning, wash your hair and let them dry naturally if possible. It is recommended to do this mask two or three times per week, for better results, as coconut oil is an excellent remedy to prevent and repair split ends. You can also mix two teaspoons of coconut oil with two teaspoons of castor oil and apply it to the hair from the roots to the tips. Leave it for one hour or two and then wash your hair. If you consistently use this mask, you will soon reach the desired results.

Argan Oil

In comparison to coconut oil, argan oil is applied only from the mid-strand of the hair. Take 1-2 drops of argan oil and apply it in damp hair, after you’ve washed, and leave it dry naturally. You can use argan oil every time you shampoo your hair. Since this oil contains antioxidants, fatty acids, and vitamin E, it usually helps to restore your split hair eventually.

Almond Oil

The best way to apply almond oil in your hair is to heat it beforehand. Take 4 to 6 teaspoons of almond oil and put them in a bowl to heat it. After you think is hot enough, take the oil and massage the scalp in a circular motion. Then leave it for 1-2 hours or overnight if possible. In the end, shower your hair with shampoo and let it dry naturally.

2. Egg Mask

We don’t want our hair to look lackluster and continue forming split ends. Since eggs are made of protein and contain sulfur, they help to repair split ends, strengthen the hair follicles and make the hair shinier. You will need one egg white, one tablespoon coconut oil, and one teaspoon organic honey to prepare this mask. All you have to do is mix the mentioned ingredients, and apply the mixture to your hair. Leave it for one hour or two and wash it off. You can do this mask two times per week.

Egg yolk can also be used to treat the split ends. Mix the yolk of an egg with one tablespoon of honey and three tablespoons of olive oil. Apply the mixture from the root of your hair to the tips and leave it on your hair for half an hour. Then, use a mild shampoo to wash your hair.

3. Honey

Honey is another beneficial and natural treatment for split ends. Take two tablespoons of organic honey and mix it with an average glass of boiled water. The water should be lukewarm, not very hot. Apply it to your hair and leave it for 10 minutes. Then rinse and shampoo your hair until the honey is removed entirely and the hair is clean.

You can also combine two teaspoons of honey with three teaspoons of olive oil and apply the combination to shampooed hair. Next, leave the mixture around 30 minutes on your hair and then rinse.

Apart from the treatments mentioned above, you can also use different hair serums, conditioners, and shampoos that are mostly recommended to help you with split hair. However, if you feel that your split ends are already too much damaged, it would be best to book an appointment for a trim. Although trimming your hair might look a dreadful thought at first, especially if you’re trying to grow your hair long, it is still an option to consider.

Healthy hair all the way, and remember as Gandhi said: “In a gentle act, you can shake the world.” Be gentle to your hair; you can indeed rock it!
