Beauty Influencer Shares A Simple Makeup Routine To Transform Her Pimple-Prone Skin In Minutes

We all have, at some point in our lives, struggled with acne. Whether during puberty or our face decides to act up because of the excess oil, or during that time of the month, acne somehow finds its way to show up on our skin. There are different ways that we can get rid of them, such as applying skin products attributed to treating acne, using home remedies which are natural, applying makeup to cover them and so on and so forth. However, before deciding on any of the treatments, one is advised to visit a dermatologist since not all skin types are the same and what might work perfectly fine for one, might actually cause damage to another one’s skin.

Some people, usually bloggers, are very open about their problematic skin on social media, and one of them is the Melbourne-based beauty blogger Chloe Szep, 19.

She gives advice to people who might have the same skin condition, and recently the YouTuber star has shared a tutorial on the daily beauty routine she follows and swears by to make her acne-prone skin appear flawless. The procedure she followed to achieve a quick and easy cosmetic look left her online audience in awe so she gained herself more than 257,000 views.

She admitted she has a problematic skin so she wants to share her daily routine with everyone out there facing the same struggles of bad skin.

You guys already know I have super problematic skin, and I wanted to share my daily routine with you because I know a lot of girls struggle with bad skin.

The 19-year-old began the tutorial by applying cleanser on her face and then a serum as a base for her skin – addressing her 162,000 YouTube subscribers.

After that, the beauty blogger Chloe applied Nars Sheer Glow foundation in shade Stromboli with a flat makeup brush from Mecca, ensuring the product blended seamlessly with her hairline.

She advised the viewers to avoid anything ‘too cakey’ saying:

I feel like when you have acne, the more you cover your pimples the more they want to show.

The 19-year-old also admitted that ‘anything shimmery will bring the bumps out more.’

It can be really hard to find a good bronzer or blush without shimmer or sparkle, which you want to avoid if you have problem skin – anything shimmery will bring the bumps out more.

Szep used Mac Dark Deepest Mineralise Skin Finish bronzer to achieve a sun-kissed, glowing look without highlighting her imperfections.

The beauty influencer Chloe, who gained herself 436,000 followers on Instagram, admits being a fan of blush, particularly Sparkling Bellini by Too Faced which she brushes on for a ‘pretty, girly finish.’

The 19-year-old lightly filled in her eyebrows with Tarte Medium Brown Amazonian Clay and plumped her lashes with Mecca Maxima Volumising Mascara.

This is what she had to say at the end of the tutorial for her viewers:

Lastly, I take Soft and Gentle [highlighter] from Mac and just put a tiny bit on the top of my cheek bone – make sure you don’t have any pimples in this area before applying as it will make them stand out.
